Integrated R&D-to-Production System
The entire process from initial study to evaluation of prototypes is performed on a small scale, and optimized conditions are rapidly fed back. In addition, in compliance with Canon's quality management system approved by the International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA), lead times to mass production are reduced through efficient process management and flexible responsiveness.
R&D Stage
1. Literature review
Even when information on the target compound is limited, we conduct thorough literature research to find the optimal synthesis method and process.
2. Laboratory study
Based on the data collected, we evaluate the feasibility of new technologies and identify the optimal conditions for improving product performance and quality.

Prototype Stage
3. Bench scale
We prototype products at bench scale and evaluate their performance and quality in order to establish the optimal manufacturing process. This is carried out at a lab scale of several 100g to 1kg, allowing for more detailed evaluation and further refinement of the manufacturing process.

Mass-Production Stage
4. Mass-production scale
At the mass production stage, prototypes are manufactured using actual production equipment in preparation for commercial production. Any issues flagged during trial production are addressed through further investigation back in the laboratory to establish optimal conditions. Commercial production is then conducted based on the conditions established in these production equipment trials. Even after transitioning to commercial production, we continue to explore any necessary improvements, in order to build a safe and stable production system.
