In-House Manufacturing for Group
As the only organic chemical manufacturer in the Canon Group, we supply group companies with OLED materials for camera EVFs*1, raw materials for organic photoconductors (OPCs*2) used in printers, optical materials used in camera lenses, and ink cartridges for color card printers. In particular, we have a world-class market share in OPC raw material production.

Organic Photo Conductor Materials(OPC)
In the 1970s, we were among the first in the world to begin practical experiments with OPC raw materials. In the 1980s, we launched production on a scale of several hundred kilograms per year, and have met demand of up to 35 tons per year since. Today, materials produced by our company are used in Canon multifunction printers and laser printers. Our OPC raw materials are characterized by their exceptionally low cost and consistently high quality, contributing to the competitiveness of Canon products.
Product Introduction
Organic photoconductors (OPCs) are organic compounds with photoelectric conversion functionality (the ability to convert light into electricity), and are used in OPC drums inside toner cartridges as core components in multifunction printers and laser beam printers. We produce each material used in OPC drums (protective layer, hole transport layer, charge generation layer, and electron transport layer materials) and supply them to Canon.
Track Record with Group Products
| Protective layer material | Acrylic monomer-based |
|---|---|
| Hole transport layer material | Low-molecular-weight aromatic-based |
| Charge generation layer material | Metal phthalocyanine-based |
| Electron transport layer materials | Low-molecular-weight aromatic-based |
Optical Materials
We produce optical materials used in Canon camera lenses through chemical synthesis. Our optical materials feature chromatic aberration correction and anti-reflective functions, contributing to the superior imaging performance of Canon cameras.
Product Introduction
Our optical materials are mainly used in Canon RF and EF lenses. Chromatic aberration correction agents, in combination with concave or convex lenses, can suppress shifts in focal position caused by differences in wavelength. Anti-reflective agents can be applied as a coating to lens surfaces to significantly reduce the occurrence of flare and ghosting.

Ink Cartridges
Leveraging our strength in high-mix, low-volume production, we provide ink cartridges that meet the diverse needs of our customers. We have established a flexible and efficient production system by carefully designing and manufacturing our ink processes with safety, quality, and productivity in mind.
Product Introduction
These ink cartridges are mainly used in color card printers and color label printers. With consideration for the operating environment, we produce and formulate inks tailored to customer needs, including high image quality, water resistance, and light resistance.
Applications
These ink cartridges are primarily used in Canon Finetech Nisca color card printers and color label printers. They are ideal for varied, small-batch card/label printing. Print as many as you need, when you need them.
